This is a replacement for the small "Dog bone" clutch cable found on the Mustang SVO and GT Turbo. Failure of this item is most commonly a result of binding of the throwout bearing on the bearing retainer. The original bearing retainer is made of aluminum and wears to the point that it creates a "ledge" that causes resistance. Always check to make sure you don't have that issue. It's a good idea to have one of these as a spare in your glove box just in case.
